After an amazing foliage hike on Saturday, we stayed closer to home, for a Sunday morning paddle at our favorite canoe camping spot…only a day paddle, but we explored an arm of the lake we had yet to paddle, and selected our next camping site ( for next year!).

The carrying yoke makes a great head rest!

The colors were brilliant…far brighter than the pics from my little point and shoot can display.

The loons swam by us, in a pool of color caused by the reflection of shoreline foliage.  The water was calm and mirrored the colors, and the bright blue cloudless sky. It really does not get any better than this!
